Confidently Snagging Fun Singles Events in America
Not that I don’t like to admit it, because its hard to date at my age. I finally bottomed out, this morning I broke my resolution and smoked two packs of cigarettes. As a coping mechanism while being single, obviously. Yeah, I did it. Does that tell you anything? Honestly, it’s when I honestly thought about joining a dating service in my new hometown.
No problem. I’ll meet new singles with this Dallas dating service. Probably turned out to be my golden ticket. The reason I mention my dating woes: After practically choking down some of grandma’s potato salad at my boy’s t-ball game in Denver last week, great aunt Judy wouldn’t get off my back about if I’ve met my soulmate. I don’t know why they even care. My response was, “I’m working on it, chill out.”
No surprise that The Old Tooter (aka: grandpa) doesn’t know when to quit driving home along the lines of my personal matters. I quipped to each of them: “Seriously, my romantic destiny is right over there!”
Guess what? Each one of them scoffed. Immediately, I rang Margaret just to get some perspective. Why can’t I stop thinking about this! I can’t imagine what I was thinking there. My cousin, who recently moved to Italy suggested that I meet singles at Great Expectations. I said, “That’s what I was going to do.” See, everything always works out. When I started, dating events were a novel thing as I am a simple guy. I was a bit nervous at first, and then I started getting butterflies in my stomach. That emotional anxiety didn’t bring an end to the evening. The evening was full of crazy-fun mingling. The one cool thing that really struck me were the many enjoyable people I met, all available singles.
Appearing at these splendid Great Expectations Dallas singles events and mixers, I met a collection of dynamite friends who certainly share a like-minded spirit which made for a magnificent singles event. Don’t know why I ever let my family give me a hard time about me not dating. Awesomely enough, mingling the Great Expectations way is enjoyable and a remarkably refreshing dating experience.
